7:00 AM meeting at FatPipe ABQ to discuss flash fiction and share a list of flash fiction contests or places to use your fiction so you have some ideas as you write. We’ll also talk about how to come up with ideas for your fiction.
If you don’t have any story ideas by the time we leave FatPipe, I can give out some prompts/assignments.
7:50 AM walk over to train station downtown
8:30 AM Take Train – write our flash fiction stories
FYI: The Rail Runner has tables and plug-ins which make it perfect for writing! However – no WiFi. Please plan accordingly.
10:05 AM arrive in Santa Fe
10:15 AM at Sky Coffee – Exchange stories/read and review stories on the patio
11:45 AM Check out the farmer’s market and/or Site Santa Fe contemporary art museum
12:30 PM Go for Brunch/lunch around the Railyards – a few restaurants to choose from
2:00 PM Arrive at Jean Cocteau Theatre for happy hour and I’ve heard they may have Game of Thrones swag!
3:00 PM Walk the short distance to the train
3:15 PM Take the Rail Runner back to Albuquerque – edit our writing
5:05 PM Walk back to our cars from the train station

Sonja Dewing, Author is a published author and won third place in the Alibi’s flash fiction story “something” that she wrote while she was on the train. She’s also a certified instructor and has experience encourage creativity in others.
Your brunch: We’d rather you have the choice of what to have for your meal instead of digging up a set menu somewhere. So, we’re reaching out to Santa Fe restaurants to see if they’ll give anyone a deal, and to gather menus for you. More soon!
